  I'm so disappointed with Putnam's declining service of late. We've been customers since we bought our home in Dunbarton in 2010. One or two years ago, Putnam cut their annual service plan significantly. I almost found a new provider then but ended up deciding to stick it out. In 2018, we have had two of our worst customer experiences with Putnam.
  
  The first was when we called to let them know we were almost out of oil and concerned that we wouldn't make it until our next scheduled delivery. The customer service rep declined to put us into the schedule any sooner, and we waited on pins and needles, checking our fuel level every day, for another two weeks until we got our delivery.
  
  This morning we woke up to no hot water. We called Putnam's answering service and the on-call technician called back in about 15 minutes. He then tried to convince my husband that, if our problem was in the boiler, he couldn't fix it today anyway and he thought it was likely a plumbing problem instead, told my husband that they had only a skeleton crew working on a Saturday. Sounds like he'd rather enjoy his personal life on the weekend than do the work he's on-call to do.
  
  I'm online this morning looking for a new fuel provider who remembers what good customer service is.
